Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Environment has required RONG CHENG INDUSTRIAL INVESMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. Located in the Me Sam area of Chong Lam commune, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province, manage solid and liquid waste properly to avoid environmental impacts.

According to the Ministry of Environment’s Facebook page on June 10, the Ministry of Environment urged companies to deposit financial guarantees For environmental restoration and preparation of an environmental restoration plan before the end of the business in accordance with the requirements set out in the environmental impact assessment report.
Please note that on June 10, 2026, the inspection team of the Ministry of Environment, with the participation of the Mondulkiri Provincial Department of Environment, inspected the environmental management and inspected the location of RONG CHENG INDUSTRIAL INVESMENT (CAMBODIA) and found that the company had not been operating due to the mining exploration business license of the Ministry of Mines and Energy having expired since March 2026.

The company is also requesting to renew its license. The team took one water sample and two soil samples for analysis at the Ministry of Environment’s laboratory to serve as a basis for an assessment for environmental restoration.
