Battambang: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the acting head of state of Cambodia, has instructed local authorities to continue to pay attention to and manage and care for the workforce of workers and laborers, both in the economy and in the informal economy.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s instructions were made during a meeting with more than 1,000 provincial, city, district, commune, and sangkat councils and leaders of departments and organizations around Battambang and Pailin provinces on June 12, 2026. The ceremony was held in Battambang provincial city.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also called on authorities at all levels to strengthen the protection, conservation, and prevention of all natural resource crimes and to participate in their sustainable maintenance.
Samdech Techo also reminded all officials to continue to maintain national stability and pay attention to maintaining social security and order by continuing to implement the policy of safe villages and communes, including the suppression of various crimes such as theft, robbery, drug trafficking and technological crimes.
Samdech Techo reminded all officials to avoid inaction or any oppression and to remember that officials are not the people’s bosses, but loyal servants of the people.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised officials at all levels of Battambang and Pailin provinces who have worked together to develop the two provinces to achieve continuous progress and wished all civil servants happiness, prosperity and success in all their duties.
