The Ministry of Labor continues to strengthen the capacity of social security inspectors to improve the effectiveness of labor law enforcement.

Phnom Penh: The National Institute of Labor, in collaboration with the National Social Security Agency (NSSA) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, organized a special training course for social security inspectors at both the central level and NSSA branches. A total of 163 capitals and provinces from June 11 to 12, 2026, with the aim of ensuring that social security inspectors can fulfill their roles and duties effectively, professionally and proactively.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training course, Mr. Huot Sined, Secretary of State His Excellency Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, highlighted that social security inspectors are important operators in monitoring the implementation of legal regulations in enterprises, companies and factories.

He emphasized that strengthening the capacity of social security inspectors and increasing the efficiency of inspection is a priority in the framework of the labor, social security and vocational training policy. He added that social security inspectors should not only focus on implementing the social security regime, but also work closely with labor inspectors and occupational health inspectors to jointly protect the rights and interests of workers who are members of the CPC. The content of the two-day training course covered four main topics, including labor laws, employment contracts, occupational safety and health conditions, and occupational accidents and diseases.
