Dr. Kao Thach encourages the newly elected youth leaders of the Chey Thom commune party to continue their education, increase their family income, and serve the provincial community.

Kandal: Dr. Kao Thach, Deputy Chairman of the Party’s Local Assistance Working Group and Chairman of the Youth Movement Working Group of the Khsach Kandal District Party, on Sunday morning, June 14, 2026, gave recommendations, guidance and direction to the youth leaders of Chey Thom Commune, Khsach Kandal District, Kandal Province to continue learning, strengthen their knowledge and increase their family income, and then join in serving their communities.

The doctor, who is a member of the Central Committee and a member of the central party youth in Khsach Kandal district, said this on the occasion of presiding over the election ceremony for the youth leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party in Chey Thom commune, Khsach Kandal district, Kandal province.

The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Nuon Sambor, Head of the Chey Thom commune grassroots working group, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the District Election Committee, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee, the President of the Village Party Branch, candidates and members of the Commune Party Youth, a total of approximately 207 voters.

Inviting a speech after the announcement of the results, Dr. Kao Thach said that the current election process is a historic event for the internal structure of the Cambodian People’s Party in Chey Thom commune, allowing youth members to directly decide on the selection of leaders in their locality who are truly capable and qualified to lead local youth to achieve progress in terms of spirituality, health, and family economy.

In addition, the doctor gave important recommendations to newly elected candidates, namely to continue to study and earn more money, as well as to serve the local community (Learn, Earn and Serve) as follows:

First, continue to study hard. To strengthen oneself to become a good person who can lead the family and community to greater progress.

2- Must have a professional income to support the family’s well-being and

3- After gaining knowledge and earning a lot of money, one must join in serving the community as well as the people in the locality.

Dr. Kao Thach further explained that young people must strive to develop their knowledge and participate in protecting the environment in order to build a strong sense of patriotism in contributing to the development of the country. As for developing financial literacy, young people must learn regularly in order to increase their income to strengthen the family economy and the national society.

During this important ceremony, Dr. Ban also encouraged the youth of the People’s Party in Chey Thom commune, some of whom are self-employed, to expand their businesses and have knowledge of financial management in order to clearly understand profits and losses.

For this election, there were 10 candidates running, but only 5 were selected, most of whom had bachelor’s degrees, to serve as commune youth leaders through 207 ballots and one invalid ballot.

The five elected candidates are three women and two men. The candidates who received the most votes were Roeun Srey Leap, a 26-year-old female, with 156 votes, Se Siek Heng, a 31-year-old male, with 148 votes, An Leang Hang, a 26-year-old female, with 142 votes, Thon Vanthi, a 27-year-old male, with 102 votes, and Moeun Pheakdei, a 26-year-old male, with 83 votes.

In addition to the above, the doctor said that if you don’t have enough income to support your family and are busy serving the community, you will die. Studying hard is very important because nothing comes easy, so if you want knowledge, you have to study hard, study all your life, especially learn about new technologies.
