Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has ordered the owner of a vehicle with an incorrect license plate “Wat Balangkarnsey” to immediately remove it and register it in accordance with the law. Otherwise, the ministry and authorities will take legal action.
Recently, a Facebook post posted the following: “Please check. Did the Ministry of Public Works issue this license plate?” (Plate of Wat Balalangkarnsi).
In response, Mr. Phon Rim, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, wrote on Facebook on the morning of June 15, 2026, “Owners of vehicles with incorrect license plates or those that are contrary to the spirit of the sub-decree should immediately remove them and register them with legal license plates. Otherwise, the ministry and relevant authorities will take legal action.”
