Phnom Penh: Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, will preside over the 9th National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Day 2026 on June 15, 2026, under the theme “TVET provides skills, jobs and income” to promote technical and vocational education and training and to disseminate information to students, youth, parents, guardians and the private sector to understand the importance of technical and vocational education and training at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center.

National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Day was designated by the Royal Government as a national day in 2017, celebrated on June 15th of each year, with the aim of promoting the quality, value and prestige of technical and vocational education and training by promoting, encouraging and encouraging students, youth, parents, guardians, workers, employers and the private sector, as well as the general public, to understand more clearly and comprehensively the importance of technical and vocational education and training, and to actively participate in developing a quality skilled workforce to respond to to the needs of the labor market both domestically and internationally.
In 2026, the 9th National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Day under the theme “TVET provides skills, jobs and income” was celebrated here and in all provinces across the country. The celebration also featured exhibitions of skills, achievements, production chains and competency assessment tests to encourage and motivate the public to participate in the assessment and recognition of competencies through the existing assessment and recognition system. In addition, this National Day also organized lectures and various programs to share knowledge, experiences, information about studies and labor market needs by key speakers, highlighting the importance of the relationship between general education and technical and vocational education and training, which complement each other in accordance with the Cambodian National Qualifications Framework.
