Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has called for joint efforts to conserve water in the middle and end of the 2026 rainy season to prepare for water shortages in the upcoming dry season.
This is according to the announcement on the second weather forecast for the rainy season from July to October 2026, issued by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on June 16, 2026.
According to the announcement, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology calls on relevant institutions, territorial authorities and citizens to pay attention and be careful of weather with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds that may occur frequently in 2026 and take measures to conserve water in the middle and end of the rainy season to prepare for water shortages in the upcoming dry season.
