On that occasion, the Prime Minister said that in this skill training, teachers must be truly knowledgeable, and there should be no shortage of teachers, so hire an electrician to teach how to make coffee. This skill training must first ensure the quality of teachers. If the teacher is not sure, the students will be even more unsure.

In addition, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Labor to prepare teachers clearly and accurately and to teach lessons that are on target.

Samdech Prime Minister Hun Manet said, “I would like to ask you what to do. I support the idea of starting from scratch, but please ensure the quality because learning wrongly is dangerous because students have to trust the teacher, and the teacher is not sure about teaching the students, and the students learn the wrong rules for the first time, which is difficult. “How to do this? Pay attention to teacher training and prepare lessons properly.”

Recall that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) plays an indispensable role in human capital development by helping to provide learners with the knowledge, technical skills, abilities, and work attitudes to become skilled workers and technicians and to contribute to reducing the skills gap in the labor market. As of May 2026, there were a total of 262 TVET institutions under the ministry.
